Instructure is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development of Instructure’s Education AI Agent. This initiative aims to provide intelligent, trusted, and scalable support for educators within the Instructure LMS ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong LLM-based chatbot experience, a growth mindset, and a passion for leveraging AI to positively impact teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of product management experience with LLM-based chatbots or AI agents.
  • Domain Expertise: Preference for experience in domains requiring high user trust (e.g., education, healthcare, hospitality).
  • Success Metrics: A track record of defining measurable success criteria for AI-powered features.
  • Evaluation Methods: Experience applying evaluation methods to improve AI quality and user experience.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to align stakeholders across internal and external teams.
  • Systems Thinking: A growth mindset and systems-thinking approach to automation, experimentation, and process innovation.
  • Adaptability: Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to complex, fast-evolving product spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Vision & Roadmap: Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of Instructure’s Education Agent.
  • Quality Frameworks: Ensure the agent meets high standards of reliability, accuracy, and usefulness for educators.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate agent effectiveness at scale using dashboards and AI workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with AI engineers, QA, design, and other PMs to launch and improve agent capabilities.
  • Early Access Programs (EAPs): Support internal readiness and rollout efforts through EAPs, tracking usage and gathering feedback.
  • Ethical AI Design: Ensure ethical, auditable, and safe AI design by establishing monitoring practices.
  • Pilot Workflows: Support internal workflows and feedback loops to accelerate experimentation.
