Requirements

Candidates should possess 10+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, preferably within SaaS and enterprise software. A strong understanding of ITSM/ESM domains, including familiarity with platforms like ServiceNow, Halo, or Jira, is required. Expertise in APIs, webhooks, integrations, and infrastructure components is essential, as is a proven ability to coach and mentor peers. Experience in using AI to present solutions, operationalize projects, and articulate value, along with knowledge of LLMs and foundational AI principles, is also necessary. The role requires comfort operating independently in complex enterprise scenarios and the ability to influence C-level stakeholders and diverse technical audiences.

Responsibilities

The Principal Solutions Engineer will partner with enterprise customers to understand strategic business challenges and recommend solutions using the Freshworks platform. This includes leading discovery workshops, shaping customer requirements, and influencing deal strategy to achieve technical wins. Responsibilities also involve delivering compelling product demonstrations aligned with industry use cases and value storytelling. The engineer will collaborate with AEs, product teams, and solution architects to shape scalable and secure solutions, contribute to competitive strategies, and mentor junior team members. Translating complex customer needs into clear solution architectures, including integrations and security considerations, is a key duty. The role also involves championing technical excellence and best practices through presentations and customer engagements.
