15+ years of experience
Strong data networking concepts with working knowledge of L2 protocols (STP/MSTP/RSTP, 802.1q/ad/aq, 802.3ah, 802.1ag/Y.1731 (Ethernet OAM/CFM))
Working knowledge of Layer-3 protocols (IPv4/IPv6, OSPFv2/v3, IS-IS, BGP4, IGMP, PIM-SM/SSM)
Exposure to VxLAN, L2VPN (Pseudowire, VPLS), and L3VPN (BGP/MPLS VPN) technologies
Strong knowledge of product verification methodologies and strategies
Experience in performance and throughput testing
Experience with test tools like Ixia, Smartbits, STC, and packet sniffers
Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Tcl, and Tk
Experience with Rational ClearQuest or other bug tracking tools
Experience with test case management tools like Quality Center
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work closely with design engineers, marketing, and other test engineers
Ability to understand feature requirements and translate them to test cases and test automation
Ability to quickly and effectively execute testing assignments
