Candidates should possess at least 3 years of programming experience with Java, Javascript, and Python, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills with a focus on code design, quality, and architecture. Experience creating and managing end-to-end automated test cases using frameworks like Playwright or Cypress is required, along with a working knowledge of software development methodologies, automated build systems, version control, and issue tracking systems. Familiarity with cross-browser testing across Chrome, Firefox, and Safari is essential, and experience with browser extensions, relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL), and other testing frameworks like Cypress or Jest is considered a plus.
The Automation Engineer will develop and execute automated test scripts using the Playwright framework, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement test automation strategies. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing existing automated test suites to align with application updates, identifying, recording, and tracking software defects, and verifying fixes through re-testing. The role also involves performing end-to-end testing for web applications, analyzing test results, generating reports, providing feedback, integrating manual test paths using API scripts into software UI, participating in code reviews, and optimizing automation development with other software engineers.
