Requirements

The QA Engineer should have 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with some experience in client testing, and hands-on experience testing applications across Windows, macOS, iOS, tvOS, Android, and Linux environments, including familiarity with platform-specific testing tools and debugging techniques. A strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing protocols, firewalls, and VPN technologies, along with the ability to analyze network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity issues, is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience creating detailed test documentation, bug reports, and technical specifications are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The QA Engineer will ensure test plan coverage for the company’s growing feature set, working closely with product and engineering to understand new and existing features. They will execute test plans in the days leading up to a client release, tracking issues and resolutions with engineers to ensure a smooth release process. The role involves designing and executing comprehensive test plans across various platforms, assisting with test automation, collaborating with developers to identify and resolve issues, proactively testing existing features, and tracking release blockers. Additionally, the QA Engineer will triage incoming issues and escalate critical issues to the appropriate team members.
