Requirements

Candidates should have 7+ years of product management experience, a proven track record of managing complex desktop applications across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux), and a strong technical background with familiarity in container technologies, developer tools, and system-level software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams, are required, as is experience working in a remote-first, globally distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

The Principal Product Manager will define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Docker Desktop, aligning with company objectives and customer needs; engage directly with customers to gather feedback and validate solutions; collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements; analyze product performance metrics to inform decisions and optimize user experience; stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape; and communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders. They will also establish relationships with key stakeholders, refine and communicate the product vision, initiate user research and data analysis, deliver initial product improvements, achieve significant milestones in product development, and contribute to Docker’s overall product strategy and company growth initiatives.
