The Principal Engineer should possess 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years leading technical teams or large projects, and expert-level proficiency in at least two of Go, Ruby (Rails), Python, or TypeScript/JavaScript. They must have a proven track record of architecting and shipping complex, high-throughput systems in production environments, along with a deep understanding of browser internals, automation frameworks, and secure web interaction paradigms. Experience with modern AI/ML workflows or agent frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom in-house systems is also required.
This role involves defining and communicating the long-term technical roadmap, writing production code daily in various languages, designing distributed services and developer-facing SDKs/APIs, owning cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, growing and mentoring an engineering team, conducting code reviews, fostering a team culture, collaborating with product and design teams, translating technical trade-offs, and providing regular updates on progress and risks.
