Requirements

The Principal Product Manager should possess a Bachelor’s degree and have 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years specifically focused on developer platforms or open source software. Strong experience in defining and executing product roadmaps, prioritizing features, and managing cross-functional teams is required. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, observability systems, and artifact management is also necessary.

Responsibilities

This role involves defining and owning the roadmap for Aerospike’s internal developer platform, prioritizing platform investments based on internal needs and strategic goals, maintaining a portfolio view of platform systems, and ensuring integration and consistency. The Principal Product Manager will also own and operationalize Aerospike’s open source strategy, developing policies for OSS releases and supporting customer needs in self-managed environments. Furthermore, they will partner with engineering, QE, and other teams to gather feedback, identify friction, and define platform improvements, and drive the product lifecycle for platform systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and consistent customer-facing delivery processes.
