Requirements

  • Deep experience with, and understanding of the media landscape
  • Genuine interest in new technologies that serve media communities
  • Experience managing partnerships across media, telcos, associations, and membership groups
  • Proven experience in business negotiations and internal/external relationship management
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a strategic, advisory, or relationship management role

Responsibilities

  • Identify and own Dow Jones' engagement with identified international media firms to grow the overall business
  • Drive audience reach/brand, subscription volume, acquire new content for B2B products, and ensure value propositions resonate with partners, focusing on growth and mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Evaluate the suitability of partnerships with media organizations and negotiate agreements
  • Manage relationships to retain and increase current partnerships, keeping partners updated on Dow Jones and new opportunities
  • Execute a territory strategy with targets for revenue, international subscription growth, new sources for B2B products, and expansion/retention goals for existing partners
  • Partner cross-functionally with departments such as product, legal, finance, marketing, sales, events, and advertising, keeping stakeholders updated
  • Work closely with the regional Director for the territory on strategy and negotiation of partnerships
  • Drive relationships through partnering with relevant associations and having presence at local conferences/events
  • Develop a deep understanding of all Dow Jones business offerings and act as a brand ambassador for professional products and flagship titles like The WSJ, while understanding internal stakeholder and publisher priorities to generate solutions and agreements
  • Maintain data, contacts, and notes in the CRM system
