Partner Solutions Engineer

Position Overview
Confluent is seeking a strong technologist to support and grow technical partnerships with key Global System Integrators. This pivotal role involves advancing technical partnerships through initiatives like co-developed solutions, strategic account engagements, and fostering Centers of Excellence within our partners. You will be accountable for the outcomes of these initiatives and will collaborate frequently with both Confluent and Partner resources to drive success.
Successful Partner Solutions Engineers typically have backgrounds as Technical Account Managers, Solution Engineers, Solutions Architects, or in Professional Services. They share a passion for expanding Confluent’s partner ecosystem and delivering the best of that world to our customers.
What You Will Do
- Present Confluent and explain its value proposition to diverse audiences, including partner executives, technical leaders, and architects.
- Define, build, and deliver repeatable solutions that highlight the joint value propositions of Confluent and its partners.
- Build and manage relationships with key technical leaders within partner organizations.
- Collaborate internally to support partner technical initiatives, such as partner-driven scalable Go-To-Market assets, partner team enablement workshops, assessments, advice, and coaching.
- Advocate on behalf of partners’ technical concerns (use cases, feature requests, support issues, etc.) with Confluent internal teams, helping to bring these concerns to resolution.
- Provide architecture guidance and recommendations across solutions, offerings, and customer opportunities.
- Author whitepapers, technical articles, and blog posts.
- Help scale the team by building reusable content and programs.
- Ensure the successful onboarding, training, enablement, and certification of partner technical resources.
What You Will Bring
- 8 - 13 years of work experience with demonstrated hands-on experience architecting complex enterprise solutions for customers and/or partners.
- At least 2 years of experience working with System Integrators in a similar role.
- At least 2 years of work experience with messaging, streaming, distributed systems, and ETL products commonly used in the enterprise.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Technical Account Manager.
- Experience operating within and across cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, sales, and marketing.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions.
What Gives You an Edge
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and/or other streaming technologies.
- Knowledge of Microservices, NoSQL databases, GenAI, and streaming architecture patterns.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience as a Technical Sales/Systems Engineer in a cloud environment or equivalent experience in a customer and/or partner-facing role.
- Experience designing and building big data, stream processing, and/or other distributed systems for Fortune 1000 companies.
- Experience working with global teams.
