Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive warehouse or supply chain leadership experience, preferably in foodservice or regulated warehousing
  • Strong experience with productivity systems, WMS, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE) Certification within 90 days of hire
  • HACCP certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WMS platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to apply continuous improvement tools (Lean/Six Sigma a plus)
  • Familiarity with EHS best practices and warehouse safety compliance
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • Effective communicator, able to engage across all levels of the organization
  • High level of accountability, integrity, and execution
  • Customer-first mindset with a drive for operational excellence
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate
  • Required to work in both office and warehouse environments, including exposure to hot, cold, and humid conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate storage areas and containers
  • Some Family Island travel may be required

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily activities of outbound supervisors and associates across selection, replenishment, loading, and returns
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and regulatory standards (BAHFSA, Bahamas Department of Environmental Health Services)
  • Drive improvements in Pieces Per Truck and Pieces Per Container for Family Island freight
  • Monitor labor hours, manage consumables, and align operational performance with budgetary goals
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service levels, productivity, and cost efficiency through management of Operational KPIs
  • Oversee outbound QA inspections on key items and customer orders (dates and quality)
  • Ensure systematic outbound sanitation and yard operations are effectively managed
  • Own performance improvement initiatives tied to ELS in selection, loading, and lift operations
  • Analyze productivity trends and develop corrective action plans with supervisors
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and engineers to ensure standards are accurate, enforced, and achievable
  • Complete weekly incentive payout sheet and manage selector/loader incentive program
  • Champion a culture of safety, ensuring all associates adhere to preferred work methods and safety policies
  • Lead accident investigations, conduct safety audits, and partner with EHS leadership to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Oversee onboarding and skill-refresh training for outbound associates
  • Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors to build bench strength and succession planning
  • Foster associate engagement through effective communication, recognition, and accountability
