Requirements

Willingness to work on-site at customer's site (Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center, MWEOC) a minimum of 5 days per week; backup location may be Winchester, Virginia; occasional telework from personal residence
Experience with voice and data systems (e.g., Cisco Voice Over IP, Avaya Aura Audio Conference Bridge, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco CUCM Unity, Avaya PBX, multiplexers, Cisco switches and routers, TCP/IP, Windows), including planning, evaluation, and configuration of routers, bridges, and other devices
Experience with operation and management of systems associated with satellite tracking, providing digital data service to mobile satellite trucks and portable flyaway dishes
Ability to work overtime, shift work, and weekend tours
Occasional travel may be required
Willing and able to obtain a government-issued Top Secret Security clearance (current TS is a plus); must be able to initially obtain Public Trust and follow-on TS

Responsibilities

Monitors, troubleshoots, configures, and manages the Department of Homeland Security (FEMA) voice, data, and satellite networks
Coordinates with FEMA personnel to provide Tier 2 "expert" assistance in all aspects of operating and managing the FEMA Transport Network (FTN)
Works with DHS-NOC and AT&T-NOC to ensure that WAN services at FEMA fixed and disaster sites are operational and assists FEMA engineering to resolve WAN interface issues through the DHS and AT&T NOCs
Supports new hardware/software acquisition and installation of aforementioned products
Performs other duties as assigned
