Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) required
Beginning ability in soldering, de-soldering, and component recognition
Ability to disassemble, clean, and assemble electrical units and understand electric theory
Ability to read and comprehend schematics
Understanding of both direct and alternating current theory
Electronic experience desired, but not required
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

Disassemble components and power units for service and repair, including teardown and inspection of units
Solder and de-solder through-hole and surface mount components
Analyze units and parts to prepare a listing of worn, damaged, or non-functioning components
Use a multimeter to test components
Initial Power Testing and Diagnostics with assistance
Read and comprehend manuals/schematics
Perform standard level repair and testing within the department with assistance
Clean, organize, and maintain lab equipment
Ensures safety rules and safe work practices are followed throughout the department
Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development
Other duties as assigned
