Requirements

The candidate must be located in the Eastern United States and possess strong networking and endpoint security backgrounds, preferably with A+ certification. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, along with at least 1 year of pre-sales technical experience. Proficiency in the MS Office suite and excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential. The ability to balance competing priorities and self-manage in a remote work environment is also necessary. Familiarity with WatchGuard products or key competitor knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer will generate revenue within an assigned geographic area by engaging end users and supporting indirect sales channels like VARs, national resellers, and distributors. Key responsibilities include forging strategic relationships with channel partners, providing pre-sales technical support and training, and serving as the primary technical contact for potential customers. This involves conducting product demonstrations, assisting with customer evaluations and Proofs of Concept (POCs), delivering technical enablement, and answering customer questions. The role also entails assisting field sales with pre-sales and post-sales support, increasing product adoption through events, coordinating technical resources, resolving partner and customer issues, and identifying/reporting on competitive trends. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will create technical content and act as a trusted security advisor.
