This role focuses on driving engagement initiatives, fostering relationships with trade allies, and promoting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a program delivery team to implement outreach strategies, inform business customers, engage trade allies, and maximize energy savings.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree or 5 years of industry experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a related field (e.g., professional sales, account management, marketing, business management, customer service, or project management).
  • Licenses/Vehicles: Valid U.S. driver’s license and a personal vehicle to visit contractor and customer sites.
  • Travel: Ability to travel locally, primarily in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky.
  • Work Environment: Able to work out of your home during times not spent in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and support the Program Manager on establishing and executing outreach initiatives.
  • Prepare and conduct program trainings for program partners and contractors (e.g., Lighting, HVAC).
  • Develops, manages, and strengthens relationships with contractors.
  • Develops and executes outreach strategies to recruit and retain contractors.
  • Delivers sales and program training presentations to contractors.
  • Provides contractors with an understanding of rebate program value.
  • Helps contractors identify qualifying projects and associated rebates.
  • Supports contractors with application completion, submission, and follow-up.
  • Answers program inquiries.
  • Trains and supports contractors to use new software tools.
  • Tracks and reports outreach activities through a CRM (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
