Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above required; major in pharmacy, Health Economics, Public Health, or Medicine preferred. MBA/MPA is a plus
  • 10 years’ Market Access (MA) experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, nutrition, or related industry or payer organization; experience as BU MA head is a plus

  • Fundamental knowledge about the China health care system and national payer insights
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills; proven success in leading cross-functional team activities; ability to manage and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen, strategic and innovative thinking, clear logic, and analytical skills
  • Quick learner with passion to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (English and Chinese, both oral and written)
  • Bidding management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop payer and market access strategy for Drug & Medical Food portfolio
  • Analyze policy insights and build action plans, programs, new initiatives in terms of payer engagement, value-based pricing, healthcare projects to identify business opportunities
  • Collaborate with GA, RA, Medical Affairs, sales and marketing, KA, Commercial etc. to achieve company MA goal
  • Provide company business strategy direction and country policy trend (Supervisory/Management Responsibilities)
  • Lead NRDL strategy building: organize cross-functional taskforce, analyze annual NRDL policy, understand brand knowledge, build pricing scenarios, enable sales, marketing and KA to complete key external stakeholder coverage to achieve company NRDL goal
  • Lead NEDL strategy building: cooperate with central MA for policy analysis and insights, work with brand team on key messages for stakeholders, build action plans and act as PMO to ensure implementation quality
  • Drive new initiatives of payer program (e.g., understand CHI policy trend, cooperate with Association to shape CHI policy, build CHI case studies)
  • Drive DRG & DIP strategy: establish regular taskforce with sales & marketing, KA to analyze impact on business, develop hospital-based strategy to increase opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Design regional market access projects for engagement of key provincial stakeholders and regional policy shaping (OPD, local CHI, healthcare projects etc.)
  • Horizon Scan: monitor government and payer policies, disseminate business implications, call for actions, increase pro-activeness; update China MA policy trend to global MA, pricing and HE teams
  • Government affair liaison: lead division internal team and coordinate with GA for crisis management; coordinate with corporate GA for cooperation projects/action plans; coordinate with public affairs for media events
