Orca Bio is a late-stage biotechnology company redefining the transplant process by developing next-generation cell therapies. The Director, U.S. Value, Access, & Pricing Strategy will serve as the cell therapy market access lead for the brand, supporting pivotal data and expected near-term launch. This role is responsible for monitoring opportunities and risks in US payer coverage and provider reimbursement, developing organizational actions to ensure patient access, and leading the development of access and reimbursement strategies. The successful candidate will thrive in a rapidly evolving market, create clear goals, develop strong partnerships, and act with agility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Orca-T U.S. Market Access Strategy and collaborate with field market access directors to execute the reimbursement and access strategy.
  • Develop the strategic plan for implementing Orca-T market access strategy through payer and ATC focused tactics within the US market to optimize coverage and reimbursement.
  • Develop innovative payer and provider value creation tools and approaches.
  • Deliver robust value proposition and evidence package to meet US payer & ATC needs and co-train field market access directors on associated marketing materials.
  • Continuously define evolving Orca-T value in the US market, including evaluation of clinical, humanistic, and economic benefits relative to standards of care and emerging competitors.
  • Partner with HEOR in development and execution of plans to identify evidence generation needs through additional studies, publications, messaging, and scientific communication.
  • Contribute to US pricing & contracting life-cycle strategies, evaluation of innovative value-based pricing approaches, and pricing analytics.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to drive identification of market insights across payers and ATCs to optimize the patient journey and launch.
  • Conduct primary research to understand payer and ATC needs in the US cell therapy market.
  • Collect key insights regarding customer experience and access needs.
  • Contribute to policy/government affairs advocacy strategies to optimize cell therapy access & reimbursement for patients, payers, and providers.
  • Partner to ensure all activities comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Travel: ≤ 20%

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree and 10+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience.
  • Extensive understanding of the transplant clinical landscape and the business of cell therapy.
  • Excellent strategic thinker with the ability to formulate, develop, and execute strategy based on applied analytical skills.
  • Proven track record in developing market access strategy/materials and marketing initiatives for oncology products.
