Requirements

  • Psychiatrist with 5+ years of experience as a clinician in a fast-paced, high growth business
  • 2+ years of experience in payer or partnership roles, ideally in technology environments
  • Industry influencer with demonstrated passion for reimagining behavioral health delivery and measurement (e.g., experience in health plans, health systems, value-based healthcare startups; speaks at industry conferences)
  • Proven thought leader with peer-reviewed publications and deep expertise in the end-to-end scientific publication process; experienced in synthesizing research insights to inform strategy, drive innovation, and demonstrate value
  • Experience developing or managing clinical quality measurement and peer review systems in healthcare
  • Collaborator eager and adept at working with product, operations, and sales teams to infuse clinical strategy across the organization
  • Effective at communicating clinical information to non-clinical staff, distilling complex clinical processes and language to advance product implementation; experience leading presentations to large audiences
  • General familiarity with healthcare regulations and laws surrounding corporate practice
  • Past experience with a healthcare tech company and/or startup
  • Licensed or willing to be licensed in multiple states

Responsibilities

  • Support Headway’s health plan partnerships and payer strategy
  • Promote external relations with payers through relationship building, presentations, sales meetings, and conference participation
  • Develop a critical understanding of how mental health clinicians utilize digital tools to deliver high quality care and document in a compliant manner
  • Drive innovative research initiatives to generate novel insights, shape strategic direction, and demonstrate scientific and strategic value
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product, design, and growth
