Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or another related field
- A3 Certified
- Typically 5 years management experience in Manufacturing Engineering area and Continuous Improvement
- Project Management Knowledge
- Green Belt Certified
- Advanced level of English
- Core understanding and proficiency of local MRP system (SAP or equivalent) for job responsibilities (e.g., vacation planning/scheduling, production order confirmation, scrap, view employee history)
- Preferred: Master/Post graduate degree in Operations, Productivity Management or other related fields
- Preferred: SAP Knowledge
Responsibilities
- Manage manufacturing engineering and project engineering functions to accomplish goals concerning costs, quality, and customer service
- Lead DR plant engineering strategy to increase process capabilities and enable continuous improvement of manufacturing operations
- Manage strategic process improvement and control programs
- Lead initiatives from conception through implementation
- Promote development of measurement methodologies
- Oversee development of initiative training materials
- Advise business groups and provide strategic direction on initiative selection, integration, resources, and prioritization
- Ensure initiative agreement on vision, strategy, and deployment within the company
- Direct survey and analysis of technique and process best practices
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function
- Oversee overall HOSHIN Strategic Planning process at Plant & Departmental levels
- Define strategies to implement Plant's Lean Manufacturing mindset, behavior, and tools
- Define strategies to maintain Daily Management & HPT programs at Plant Level
- Coach practical lean tools to manufacturing and support groups
- Teach Lean Fundamentals, including Value Stream Mapping, Flow, A3 Thinking, Standard Work, 5'S, TPM, 7 Wastes, Kaizen
- Assure training and certification in Lean and RCPS tools/Methodologies and Programs (e.g., Bronze Belt, Lean Associate, A3)
- Define strategies to motivate & maintain plant trainings/certifications in Lean & 6 Sigma tools
- Lead Operational Excellence efforts across Plant according to corporate directions
- Understand constraint management and collaborate with appropriate people to improve
- Oversee Plant Productivity efforts, monitoring & reporting
- Cultivate relationships with other responsibilities to enhance productivity and cooperation
- Lead best practice sharing between Plants
