SDR Manager

Position Overview
Confluent is revolutionizing data streaming, enabling companies to react faster, build smarter, and deliver dynamic experiences. We are seeking an experienced SDR Manager passionate about developing sales talent and driving operational discipline. This role focuses on cultivating a high-achieving team through coaching and accountability, optimizing the SDR program for lead conversion and efficiency, and strengthening team cohesion.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of SDRs responsible for qualifying leads and converting them into productive meetings and pipeline for the sales team.
- Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and coach SDRs, with a strong emphasis on attracting and retaining top talent.
- Enhance each team member's knowledge and skills related to sales, Confluent's products, and the industry, fostering their professional growth.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve processes and structures, thereby increasing efficiency through collaboration across departments and stakeholders.
- Monitor and ensure the team achieves its monthly and quarterly targets.
- Ensure the effective use of Salesforce, Groove, and Drift.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing a sales development team in a SaaS company.
- 3+ years of experience in a closing, quota-carrying role.
- Familiarity with or previous work experience at a company in the Big Data/Open Source space.
- Proven track record of managing to core KPIs.
- Success in overachieving quotas and targets.
- Ability to drive and manage cross-functional initiatives at scale.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and people management skills.
