Calendly's Operations team is seeking a Manager, Reporting Analytics to lead a high-impact team responsible for defining and delivering company-wide metrics, reporting infrastructure, and performance insights. This role reports to the Director, Analytics and requires a blend of technical depth, design thinking, and people leadership to foster transparency and accountability across the business. The centralized Analytics team empowers the business with actionable insights, structured data, and scalable systems, with the Reporting Analytics function playing a crucial role in establishing the company's source of truth for business metrics.

A Day in the Life

As the steward of business metrics and the reporting backbone, you will:

  • Own and evolve metric definitions, ensuring alignment, consistency, and trust in key KPIs.
  • Manage the reporting layer within the data warehouse, building a foundation for scalable analytics and executive visibility.
  • Design and deliver the official reporting suite, including the Corporate Scorecard, Weekly Business Digest, and performance dashboards.
  • Support high-stakes reporting moments like Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Board materials, and executive offsites.
  • Lead the development of a semantic layer and reporting framework for company-wide self-serve analytics.
  • Champion thoughtful design in reporting experiences, tailoring content for specific audiences.
  • Ensure strong UX and technical structure in reporting products.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Analytics, Engineering, Product, GTM, Finance, and Operations.
  • Mentor and support a team of experienced analysts, guiding stakeholder engagement, prioritization, and skill development.

Requirements

  • People Management: 2+ years of people management experience, preferably leading analytics, data, or reporting teams.
  • Technical Skills: Strong SQL skills and experience with a modern data stack (e.g., dbt, Hex, BigQuery). Familiarity with Python is a bonus.
  • Metric Definition & Reporting Infrastructure: Proven track record of owning metric definition frameworks and the supporting reporting infrastructure.
  • Data UX & Design: Deep investment in information design, understanding of data UX, tailoring reporting for different leadership levels, and a passion for driving clarity and action through data presentation.
  • Self-Serve Enablement: Experience with semantic layer design and enabling self-serve analytics while maintaining consistency.
  • Communication & Storytelling: Thoughtful communicator and insight storyteller, comfortable presenting to senior leaders and executives.
  • Strategic Reporting: Experience supporting Board-level and strategic reporting with a high bar for precision, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Ambiguity & Translation: Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and translate strategic goals into operational reporting systems.
  • Team Growth: Energized by growing people and building teams.
