Position Overview

We are seeking a Head of Analytics Engineering to spearhead and scale our data foundation. In this critical leadership role, you will define the vision for analytics engineering, design scalable solutions, and build a high-performing team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional and executive stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, trustworthy, and actionable, driving strategic impact across product, engineering, and operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in making data a core enabler of decision-making throughout the organization.

Candidate Profile

You will be a strong fit for this role if you possess:

  • Experience: 7+ years in data/analytics engineering, with at least 3 years managing Analytics Engineering teams.

Strategic Influence and Organizational Partnership

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that transform how the organization leverages data for decision-making and product outcomes.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executives, product leaders, and senior engineering counterparts, influencing long-term strategy and technical direction through deep data expertise and architectural foresight.
  • Proactively align data strategy with product and engineering vision, engaging at the planning and prioritization stages to guide teams toward scalable and principled solutions.
  • Act as a force multiplier by building effective team structures, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration, and promoting a culture of strategic clarity and quality.

Systems Thinking & Data Architecture Leadership

  • Oversee the design of data ecosystems capable of handling complex business operations at scale, advocating for modular and future-proof architectures (e.g., semantic layers, universal metrics frameworks, streaming integrations).
  • Uphold high standards for modeling and architecture, ensuring technical consistency across teams, and personally reviewing critical design decisions.
  • Define and govern data domain ownership within your team, ensuring schemas accurately reflect strategic business and product abstractions across fact, aggregate, and cube layers.

People Leadership, Team Building & Performance

  • Build and develop high-performing teams through strategic hiring, effective onboarding, and robust career development practices.
