Requirements

  • Expertise in biolayer interferometry (BLI) analysis, including specificity, kinetics, and affinity of biomolecular interactions
  • Ability to develop and transfer expert knowledge through training and support of hardware and software, staying current with new assay development
  • Knowledge of staying informed on new technology areas through research, publications, patents, and partnerships with collaborators and industry KOLs
  • Skills in managing, performing, and documenting on-site installations, repairs, calibrations, preventative maintenance, inspections, and tests for BLI instrumentation
  • Proficiency in adjusting coordinates, spectrometer parameters, replacing parts, diagnosing alarms/errors/technical/mechanical problems, and implementing solutions
  • Experience with system validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) for repaired and incoming stock
  • Capability to triage, schedule, and provide customer support via telephone, email, or visits
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills with customers, project teams, engineering, sales, and others

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of Field Application Scientists (FAS) and Service Engineers, set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and support professional development
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for key customers throughout the lifecycle, support onboarding, deployment, and ongoing use to ensure customer success, and monitor/improve satisfaction metrics
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product teams for pre-sales technical support, guide customers through demonstrations, trials, integrations, and customize solutions based on requirements/feedback
  • Oversee scheduling and execution of field service activities, including installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, ensure SLA compliance, and timely issue resolution
  • Identify and implement process improvements across support, deployment, and service operations; develop/maintain documentation, training materials, and knowledge bases
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Sales teams to relay customer feedback, contribute to product improvements, participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Perform BLI analysis of customer samples involving specificity, kinetics, and affinity
  • Proactively address customer service initiatives and sales goal objectives
  • Contribute to development of application notes and teaching manuals; write technical documents highlighting new/innovative applications using Gator Bio’s BLI systems
  • Report on competitor products and feedback to Sales and Product Management teams
  • Manage, perform, and document all on-site installations, repairs, calibrations, preventative maintenance, inspections, and test tasks in a timely/detailed manner
  • Report and contribute DFS recommendations for products in development; document tasks performed
