Requirements

  • Willingness to work hybrid in the Seattle, WA area, in office at the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 4 days/week
  • MBA or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant work, including in strategy, management, consulting, investment banking and/or the retail industry
  • Strong sense of ownership and impact measured by enterprise adoption of solutions and strong results
  • High intellectual curiosity with humility to learn and courage to challenge assumptions
  • Strategic mindset that balances details with big ideas
  • Passion for managing and developing top-tier talent through coaching, feedback, and proactive opportunity creation

Responsibilities

  • Build trust, rapport, and collaborative relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders to understand their deliverables, actions, and decisions
  • Frame hard, ambiguous problems using a rigorous, hypothesis-led, and data-informed approach
  • Leverage analytical acumen to uncover insights and opportunities for unlocking business value
  • Synthesize complex inputs into clear, compelling stories for commercial decision-making (verbal and written)
  • Identify and pursue sources of enterprise value creation in partnership with Strategy directors, SVP of Strategy, Executive Team, and operational leaders
  • Manage project teams (Assoc & Sr Assoc level talent) as an emerging leader
  • Demonstrate enterprise thinking by balancing function-specific goals with broader company strategy and influencing change beyond formal authority
  • Translate strategic direction into clear execution plans and operating rhythms, ensuring accountability and momentum
  • Live Nordstrom values with reliability, effectiveness, and commitment to outcomes
  • Lead high-impact projects supporting the Executive Team and operational leaders in areas like Enterprise Strategy, Business Development, Market & Competitive Intelligence, and Enterprise Activation
