Jerry.ai is seeking a smart, scrappy, and customer-savvy Manager, Business Development to join our team. This role is crucial for growing the supply side of our insurance marketplace. You will be responsible for identifying, pitching, and onboarding new insurance carriers, thereby expanding the value we offer to our customers. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on the challenge of forging difficult partnerships and are adept at creatively persuading potential partners to see the mutual benefit of collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative strategies to solve complex and strategically significant business problems.
  • Act as both a strategist and a hands-on contributor: build partnership plans, collaborate with cross-functional teams for execution, and own the outcomes.
  • Source and close partnerships with insurance carriers to expand the marketplace's supply side.
  • Create tailored pitches and solutions, particularly for partners who may initially be hesitant to engage.
  • Represent Jerry.ai professionally, clearly, and insightfully in all external meetings.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 4+ years in business development, partnerships, strategy, or similar roles, preferably within a high-growth startup or consulting environment.
  • Deal Closing: Proven track record of driving and closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Drive & Curiosity: Exceptional drive and intellectual curiosity; a self-starter obsessed with impact and focused on outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: World-class communication and influencing abilities, capable of engaging in senior executive conversations with ease and precision.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: An inherent creative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a consistent ability to find breakthrough solutions.
  • Ownership & Urgency: An unwavering sense of ownership and urgency, with a comfort level in ambiguous environments.
