Requirements
- Ability to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated material handling equipment (MHE)
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance processes
- Skills in rapidly troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and restoring equipment to service
- Capability to maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of MHE on site, including conveyor systems, sortation, robotics, or Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
- Ability to adjust scanners, cameras, field buses, scales, and printer applicators
- Skills in resetting, repairing, or replacing adjustable components
- Willingness to work specified shifts (e.g., A2: Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6:00pm-6:00am; B2: Tuesday-Friday 4:00pm-2:00am; B3: Tuesday-Friday 9:00pm-7:00am)
- Ability to collaborate with other Target service technicians, Maintenance Technician 3’s, Senior Systems Engineers, building leaders, and outside specialty contractors
- Competence in performing Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures and validating quality of work
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated material handling equipment to ensure high equipment availability rates
- Use preventive and predictive maintenance processes
- Rapidly troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and quickly restore equipment to service to support supply chain facility operations
- Work with other Target service technicians to solve problems
- Validate quality of work for outside specialty contractors
- Collaborate with building leaders to optimize material handling equipment and meet aggressive timelines
- Work with Maintenance Technician 3’s and Senior Systems Engineers to perform Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of MHE, including conveyor systems, sortation, robotics, or ASRS
