Requirements

  • Third level qualification or trade certificate in an Engineering/Science/Manufacturing discipline
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Strong technical experience in mechanical, electrical, controls engineering
  • Strong communicator
  • Technical and leadership skillset
  • Ability to multitask and manage a team

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose/fault-finding of any maintenance issues and provide solutions to remedy the problem
  • Ensure that all maintenance records are correctly completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Identify and recommend improvements to equipment and systems to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure timely completion of training records/status to ensure compliance with the ISO training system
  • Lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiatives whilst providing encouragement, motivation and support to team members
  • Achieve key department metrics and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Coach/mentor team members on effective performance, identify and address development needs, and complete performance reviews
  • Ensure adherence to 6S in the Operation areas, ensuring the department conducts its business in a manner designed to be productive and protective of human health, safety and the environment
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management
  • Manage a team of operators while planning day-to-day production activities
