Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred; extensive maintenance and supervisory experience (10–15 years) may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing environments; experience in vinyl window manufacturing highly preferred
  • 3–5 years of proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on understanding of extrusion and fabrication processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop maintenance teams, drive accountability, and deliver measurable improvements in equipment uptime and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and corporate teams

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate a team of skilled maintenance technicians responsible for the repair, upkeep, and installation of extrusion lines, fabrication equipment, automated machinery, utility systems, and facility infrastructure
  • Serve as a key member of the facility’s leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, plant performance improvement projects (PIPs), and operational decision-making
  • Supervise all maintenance department personnel, including staffing, training, scheduling, performance management, and career development
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment improvements, process upgrades, and production expansion initiatives
  • Lead the development and execution of a proactive preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend asset life
  • Conduct regular inspections of fabrication equipment to ensure compliance with operational standards and safety regulations
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Participate in capital project planning, including input on equipment selection, installation, and commissioning for new product lines or capacity expansions
  • Work closely with plant management, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve maintenance challenges quickly and effectively
  • Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the maintenance team
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
