Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar
Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, ideally with a combination of law firm and in-house roles in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sector
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
Familiarity with healthcare compliance laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, FCPA, HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
Experience supporting international teams and managing cross-border legal matters, with strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment
A team player with a “can-do” attitude, collaborative mindset, and a desire to learn and grow
Understanding of public tender processes and legal frameworks for selling to government or state institutions
Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus
High ethical standards, sound judgment, and a proactive, business-oriented mindset
Strong technical proficiency, with solid command of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Teams) and experience using Outlook for email and calendar management

Responsibilities

Providing comprehensive legal support, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
Supporting operations across the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean
Identifying, assessing, and escalating legal and compliance risks, providing clear, actionable guidance to management and business stakeholders to support informed decision-making
Communicating and collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization—from junior associates to senior executives—using a service-oriented, business-minded approach to legal practice
Embracing a continuous improvement mindset, aligned with the Danaher Business System (DBS), to drive efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence in legal support
