The Role

We’re looking for a strategic, customer-obsessed, and highly autonomous Principal Product Marketing Manager to lead complex cross-functional initiatives that drive product go-to-market and adoption, market leadership, and business growth.

You will operate as a strategic partner to product and executive leadership, deeply influencing product direction, commercial strategy, and go-to-market execution. This role requires an exceptional ability to synthesize market insight, customer needs, product capabilities, and business goals into clear and actionable marketing strategies.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role suited for someone who thrives on solving ambiguous problems, influencing across the org, and delivering outcomes that shape the future of Deputy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global go-to-market strategy for critical product lines and major cross-product initiatives, spanning Australia, UK, and US markets.
  • Lead strategic positioning and narrative development that defines how Deputy competes and wins in the market.
  • Identify and validate high-impact opportunities through market sizing, customer research, and competitive analysis — and translate them into business cases that drive roadmap and investment decisions.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape product strategy and ensure market-fit through deep insight into customer needs and business priorities.
  • Act as the strategic bridge between product and go-to-market teams, ensuring every launch is grounded in customer insight and business value.
  • Drive enablement strategy across sales, CS, and support — ensuring our customer-facing teams are armed with the right messaging, content, and tools to win.
  • Champion the voice of the customer across the business — translating insight into action and helping shape company-wide strategy.
  • Mentor and upskill product marketers and cross-functional peers by sharing frameworks, strategic thinking, and best practices.
  • Operate as a thought leader both internally and externally — representing Deputy’s perspective in analyst conversations, customer forums, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing or strategic go-to-market roles in B2B SaaS, ideally across multiple markets or product lines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with executive-level visibility and impact.
  • Proven ability to shape product strategy, influence roadmaps, and drive alignment across product, sales, and marketing.
  • Mastery of messaging and positioning, with a track record of delivering compelling narratives that differentiate and drive growth.
  • Experience in developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies, from early validation through to launch and ongoing adoption.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to make data-driven decisions.
