This role is for a Key Account Manager (KAM) for distributors within the Abbott Nutrition division, focusing on the Mexican market. The position aims to achieve the annual plan by supporting the cataloging and growth of Abbott Nutrition products through building strategic, long-term relationships with assigned clients. The KAM will develop a deep understanding of decision-makers within different product categories to create strategic business plans.

The Opportunity

This position is within the ANI (Nutrition) division. Abbott Nutrition develops science-based nutrition products for all ages, supporting infant and child growth, and maintaining adult strength and activity. Responsibilities

As a KAM, you will:

  • Plan, develop, and execute the Commercial Plan for distributors.
  • Implement sales strategies to achieve the annual sales plan.
  • Implement the 4 Ps (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) for assigned clients.
  • Develop the portfolio and drive growth in independent pharmacies and regional chains that contribute to current client sales.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, attraction, and negotiation with new direct or indirect clients, which will involve significant travel to client branches or new client visits.
  • Prioritize opportunities within clients using available omnichannel information for resource allocation (personnel/investment).
  • Ensure optimal use of assigned resources within the cluster strategy to achieve sales, access, and profitability results for clients.
  • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), market information, sales analysis, and other metrics to manage and track the growth of assigned clients.

Required Qualifications (Indispensable)

  • Bachelor's degree (essential).
  • Recent experience as a KAM managing distributors such as Nadro, Marzam, and national pharmaceutical distributors (essential).
  • Intermediate/Advanced English proficiency (essential).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (essential).
  • Broad availability for travel.
