The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be part of the regional sales team, reporting to the Sales Lead. Your primary focus will be on developing new relationships with restaurants.

Responsibilities

  • Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurant partnerships within your designated region.
  • Develop expertise in your city's restaurant scene, identifying emerging and popular establishments.
  • Support partner restaurants in joining Deliveroo, ensuring a positive onboarding experience.
  • Communicate with restaurants via physical visits, email, calls, or social media to showcase Deliveroo's technology.
  • Assist restaurant owners and managers in overcoming any hesitations or barriers to partnership.
  • Attend relevant restaurant and food industry meet-ups.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in targeting new business and sales.
  • Confidence and experience in dealing with partners/customers through various communication channels (face-to-face, phone, email).
  • Ability to demonstrate product knowledge and industry expertise to clients.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant advantage.
  • Must be tenacious.
