Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with 7+ years in IT and 5+ years in IT Security, demonstrating proven expertise in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with hands-on security implementation. A CISSP certification or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire is required, alongside proficiency in security engineering, network security, authentication protocols, cryptography, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

The IT Security Engineer III will maintain uptime and operational efficiency for the security tools stack, including SIEM, EDR, NDR, VM, WAF, firewalls, email security, and IAM, implementing updates and configurations aligned with security leadership objectives. They will ensure all vulnerabilities are triaged and remediated within policy-defined timelines, achieve a measurable reduction in security incidents, act as the SME for AWS Security, implementing cloud-specific security measures, drive end-to-end security projects from conception to delivery, maintain accuracy and currency in security documentation, collaborate cross-functionally to assess and mitigate risk, and provide timely and effective security guidance and training to internal teams.
