Candidates should possess a 4-year college degree or 1 to 2 years’ experience in selling multiple Medicare products, such as Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans. A Life & Health insurance license is not required for employment but must be obtained within 60 days of starting. Applicants must demonstrate computer proficiency, including the Microsoft Office suite, and possess strong communication and listening skills. They should be self-starters with a positive attitude and the ability to manage emotions when interacting with dissatisfied customers. Furthermore, candidates need to be adaptable to a high-pressure, achievement-oriented environment and exhibit a drive to build and manage a book of business.
The Telesales Representative will be responsible for acquiring new members via inbound and outbound calls, assessing customer needs, servicing existing members and inquiries regarding plan benefits and utilization, cross-selling ancillary products, and retaining existing members. They will also maintain knowledge of CMS and state regulations, multitask while using computer systems, capture relevant information in the CRM, meet sales goals and conversion rates, achieve member retention rates, and ensure high levels of member satisfaction through surveys and retention efforts. Finally, they will be required to pass annual security and compliance certifications, as well as CMS and product certifications.
