Position Overview

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Senior Telesales Agent conducts selling activities related to inbound calls inquiring about individual health plan products. The Senior Telesales Agent's work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Telesales Agent qualifies prospects and attempts to close sales, and successfully handles consumer calls that may require the use of an interpreter or TTY service. May originate calls from leads. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Use your skills to make an impact.

Requirements

  • Has current Active Health Insurance License or the ability to obtain license.
  • Bilingual in English and French with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to connect meaningfully with customers to build emotional engagement and customer advocacy.
  • Ability to simplify complexity and integrate internal efforts to deliver an optimal customer experience.
  • Easily adapts to learning new software/programs and follows call flow processes and procedures.
  • Must be available and willing to work any shift between 7:00 am — 2:00 am, including weekends and overtime during peak season (approximately September - December).
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences and able to navigate stressful situations.

Additional Information

Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Language Proficiency Assessment (LPA) in that language(s) and English as provided and required by the Federal Government.
