Candidates must have a consistent record in sales within the research laboratory field, with a strong awareness of the market landscape for laboratory equipment, consumables, and/or chemicals. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in the sciences, is required. Strong interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills are essential, along with computer proficiency in MS Office, the Web, and sales force software. The ability to multi-task and meet timelines is necessary. Preferred qualifications include a strong industry, pharmaceutical, and science background, fluent Swedish and English, good time management, strategic selling, and negotiating skills, and a confident personality capable of engaging customers in various settings. Experience working in a matrix environment with multiple collaborators is also beneficial.
The Inside Sales Account Manager will grow sales of scientific products and services through various communication channels in a designated area, targeting clients in research, development, and quality assurance sectors to expand market presence and achieve sales targets. Responsibilities include understanding the value propositions of Fisher Scientific and Thermo Fisher Scientific products, improving the application of tools and technology for customer interactions, developing strategic and tactical sales plans, and leading pricing within the territory to optimize profitability. The role involves setting a positive tone, displaying leadership behaviors, supporting junior colleagues, establishing and sustaining strong customer relationships, applying resources to meet customer needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and owning the strategic direction for the territory. This includes developing sales strategies, maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, performing sales calls and vendor relations, researching competitor and industry activities, integrating discoveries into business strategy, introducing new offerings, and maintaining accurate reporting, records, and files. The Account Manager will represent Thermo Fisher Scientific by demonstrating its mission, vision, values, and objectives to customers and partners.
