The Senior Account Executive - Export must possess in-depth knowledge of business and cultural practices, including related laws and regulations in countries where Westlake does business. A working knowledge of international distributors and export trading operations, along with contacts and relationships within these organizations, is essential. Familiarity with international finance, credit, and distribution operations, as well as U.S. import/export laws and regulations like REACH and Anti-Dumping Duties, is required.
The Senior Account Executive - Export will develop, recommend, and implement profitable export PVC sales plans and establish key customer partnerships aligned with the export PVC strategy and division goals. This role involves managing a global portfolio of customers, including traders, direct end users, and distributors, with an estimated annual sales responsibility of $150MM and 500 million pounds of PVC. Responsibilities include maintaining and developing complex global customer accounts, managing accounts receivable and expenses, setting account strategies, and coordinating sales call and management visit frequencies. The incumbent will work with sales leadership to formulate and implement strategic sales plans and marketing objectives for international business outside the U.S. and Canada, negotiate prices and sales volumes, and develop detailed annual sales plans. They will also coordinate functional resources, lead problem-solving analysis, provide input on market trends and forecasts, and contribute to process improvements and efficiency within the department and SBU.
