Position Overview

Cars Commerce is seeking an Industry Communications & Events Manager to join the Communications department. This enterprise role requires a skilled communicator to develop compelling content that showcases the value proposition of Cars Commerce's platform of products and solutions to diverse audiences, including automotive retail influencers, dealers, and OEM clients. The role also involves managing the company's presence at trade shows and customer events across the US and Canada. A key responsibility is accurately tracking results and implementing an automated process with Tech and Finance to demonstrate return on investment. The position requires the creation of presentation materials such as slide decks, short video clips, and graphics for events.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Industry Relations and involves significant interaction and accountability with leaders across the organization and external industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop content for social and influencer channels to highlight the functionality and value of the Cars Commerce platform, driving reputation and incremental sales.
  • Own the Independent Dealer communications strategy, including events, workshops, influencer messaging, and 20 Groups.
  • Collaborate with the Industry Communications Sr. Manager to build a robust plan for regular influencer briefings.
  • Partner closely with B2B Marketing to create off-the-shelf presentations and event support materials for various opportunities.
  • Create a booth strategy for small conferences that appropriately represents all brands and is easily transportable and set-up.
  • Manage the planning and execution of the company’s participation in over 80 events annually (trade shows, small conferences, regional dealer events, etc.).
  • Manage the day-to-day budget of more than $3.0M and its execution.
