Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate a strong understanding of HVAC/Boiler systems and building maintenance practices. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, including plumbing, is preferred, as well as welding skills.
The HVAC Boiler & Building Systems Operator will be responsible for servicing, operating, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, steam, boilers, and other mechanical building systems at Northwestern Mutual facilities to ensure the security and safety of personnel and property. This includes identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing failures, performing preventative maintenance, responding to emergencies, and assisting with maintaining fire protection and life safety equipment. The operator will also monitor HVAC systems, adjust air handling units, and coordinate the work of external vendors while researching best practices and incorporating safety and regulatory issues into their work.
