Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of Engineering experience in instrumentation or service process control, or a related occupation. They are required to have knowledge of computer networking, troubleshooting computer hardware and networking issues, DC drive systems, pneumatic cylinders, water chillers, and quality control systems for steel, aluminum, and lithium-ion manufacturing. Furthermore, candidates must be proficient in reading electrical schematics, utilizing Wonderware, EPOS or similar HMI/GUI software, and understanding extrusion control, calendar control, and machine direction control, along with experience in a field service environment and effective communication with sales teams and engineering.

Responsibilities

The Engineer II, Field Service will provide onsite and remote service and support for Industrial Control Equipment for Metals and Lithium-Ion Processing Production Lines, ensuring customer needs and expectations are met. They will be responsible for the overall support and service of an assigned customer list, coordinating long-term and short-term planning for maintenance and repair events, communicating downtime and maintenance needs, providing system installation/Commissioning services, and performing general maintenance at customer sites. Additionally, the role involves traveling up to 85% of the time to sites throughout North America and collaborating with sales teams and engineering to improve products.
