Candidates should possess no required education, but should have training and/or experience relative to meter proving and installation, regulating flow and pressure, company and governmental operating/safety procedures, servicing/repairing measuring station equipment, and interpreting measurement data. Experience in reading and interpreting maps, plats, atlas pages, dials, gauges, sample reports, drawings, procedures, correction tables, and applicable operation and safety manuals is preferred. The role requires the ability to apply basic arithmetic and formulas for volume calculations, as well as the ability to work in confined areas and react immediately to dangerous conditions.
The Measurement Technician will install, calibrate, repair, and maintain various measurement instruments including Turbine, Coriolis, Ultrasonic, regulator settings, electronic flow computers, and relief valves. They will perform measurement, sampling, and regulation operations and maintenance at facilities, drive and maintain company vehicles, prepare reports such as job orders and completion reports, and witness meter calibrations per contractual obligations. Additionally, the technician will ensure DOT compliance, operate tools and equipment as needed, and travel to corporate offices and facilities as required, while adhering to safety procedures and responding to emergency situations.
