Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field
  • Organized labor experience preferred
  • HR-related certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of related HR experience, preferably in production and/or distribution environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of HR principles and practices, employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead comprehensive ER investigations
  • Demonstrated ability to be personable, professional, responsive, knowledgeable, credible

Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional leadership teams to lead and execute employee relations, labor relations, training, talent management, organizational development, HR compliance, and special projects
  • Coordinate activities with HR specialists in Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and HRIS
  • Develop trusted partnerships with business leaders as advisor in organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, performance, and development coaching/counseling
  • Lead associate onboarding process, working with hiring managers and Talent Management to integrate and retain associates
  • Partner with leaders to manage immersion process for new sales and operations associates
  • Partner with Payroll and HR Coordinators for accurate processing of new hires, terminations, and personnel changes
  • Administer salary actions, ensure fair wage structure, lead annual salary review process, and coordinate with HR Compensation group
  • Develop and facilitate performance calibration process with regional management teams
  • Evaluate employee relations climate, implement solutions, counsel on career planning/conflict resolution, conduct stay/exit interviews, and lead investigations
  • Advise managers on performance management, corrective counseling, training, development, progressive discipline; review documentation; lead performance appraisals; involve Legal/senior HR as needed
  • Administer HR policies/programs, recommend revisions, ensure compliance with state/federal laws (e.g., wage/hour, FMLA, OSHA, EEO, ADA)
  • Contribute to HR strategy development/implementation and act as change agent for workforce/HR process improvements
  • Develop and deliver talent development/training assessments and programs with HR group
  • Handle other projects and duties as assigned
