- Experience designing and developing an organization to centralize activities supporting a complex global network of 1,400 employees across multiple locations
- Ability to manage a team of 10-20 employees with 4-5 direct reports
- Expertise in hiring, mentoring, and developing team members, setting performance goals, and holding employees accountable
- Skills in leading performance and talent management processes consistent with Gilead policies and practices
- Capability to build and maintain an organization culture aligned with Gilead values, leadership commitments, with emphasis on quality and safety
- Experience developing a digital strategy for manufacturing in collaboration with PDM, corporate digital, IT, OT, and data analytics teams

- Experience in centralized resource management for manufacturing resources in G.Plan (Planisware), including templates, program-specific models, portfolio-wide models, and demand/supply scenarios
- Strategic innovation skills, including scanning the external environment to develop investment roadmaps and creating cross-functional ecosystems for agile teams
- Management of purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, procurement, and planning
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and direction for hiring, mentoring, and developing team members; set performance goals and hold employees accountable
- Lead performance and talent management processes consistent with Gilead policies
- Build and maintain organization culture consistent with Gilead values, emphasizing quality and safety
- Develop a digital strategy for the Manufacturing organization in collaboration with PDM and corporate teams (digital, IT, OT, data analytics)
- Identify, define, and implement a modern manufacturing management system (e.g., Lean Manufacturing) and coordinate with PDM efforts
- Define organizational and operational strategy for Manufacturing, including periodic review processes; lead Manufacturing LT through reviews
- Define and deliver projects from the Manufacturing strategy; lead collaboration with PDM Network Strategy and Project Management teams
- Define and implement metrics for Manufacturing network operational performance visibility
- Define and maintain resource models to support sites, functions, and PDM portfolio management
- Lead Operational and Capital budgeting processes, including multi-year views
- Provide centralized resource management for Manufacturing resources in G.Plan (Planisware): update templates, create program-specific and portfolio-wide models, and scenarios for demand/supply planning
- Design, build, and lead a high-performing organization to drive strategic initiatives and centralize activities supporting global product, pipeline, and people goals
