Position Overview
At Remote, the Director of IT leads the IT Engineering team, focusing on enabling Remoters to perform at their best through innovative automation and AI solutions. The role emphasizes automating processes across all teams and implementing cutting-edge AI tools to boost productivity. This management position requires strategic vision for scalable IT architecture, guided by our principle: "Be invisible when you can be and unmissable when you should be." You will empower your team, provide strategic direction, and collaborate cross-functionally to advance Remote's mission of making employment truly borderless.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for IT architecture and AI/automation adoption, making key decisions on foundational principles and technology roadmaps aligned with Remote's growth and future needs.
- Hands-on Technical Leadership: Actively build solutions and automation, mentoring the team through practical examples.
- AI & Automation Innovation: Drive innovation in AI and automation by identifying opportunities, implementing solutions, and establishing guidelines for their safe use at Remote.
- Ownership & Problem Solving: Take ownership of complex technical challenges, prioritize autonomously based on business impact, and mobilize resources for sustainable solutions.
- Team Culture & Service: Foster a culture of technical excellence balanced with remarkable customer service, ensuring the IT team is recognized for expertise and appreciated for approachability.
