Requirements

Candidates must be willing to live within 30 miles of the designated sales territory. A BA or BS degree in Marketing/Sales/Retail Management or an equivalent combination of experience is required, along with at least 1 year of marketing/sales/retail experience, with 2 years preferred. Experience in the outdoor, sports, or athletic industry is highly preferred. Knowledge of performance athletic footwear, sport bras, apparel, accessories, their technologies, biomechanics of human motion, injury prevention basics, retail math, inventory management, product merchandising, and retail selling skills are preferred. Strong motivation, a hardworking attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently and in a team, and excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. The ability to understand the sport of running is also required.

Responsibilities

The Guru Field Representative will lead field support efforts for Brooks at specialty and big box accounts within their territory. Responsibilities include supporting sales and marketing teams with product launches, in-store merchandising, and grassroots programs. They will collaborate with sales management and marketing on national account sell-through programs and in-store promotions, aiming to achieve established sell-through goals. The representative will educate and motivate retail associates, runners, and affiliates about Brooks' technology and products through clinics, visits, and events. They will also represent Brooks at national and local running events, manage product seeding and corporate card budgets, complete expense reports monthly, maintain the company vehicle and equipment, and provide weekly field notes with relevant feedback.
