Requirements

Candidates must be passionate about the outdoors and possess expert gear knowledge in various outdoor sports such as climbing, skiing, and snowboarding. A strong passion for customer service and the ability to share outdoor experiences are essential. Flexibility in scheduling, including at least one weekend shift per week and a 10-hour window of availability, is required. Candidates must also be available for mandatory, paid training from October 6-17, 2025, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST, and cannot miss any training days. A wired internet connection is mandatory for remote work, and personal equipment cannot be used for the job.

Responsibilities

Gearheads will provide expert gear knowledge and exceptional service to customers via phone and chat, aiming to create loyal, repeat customers. They will increase profit margins by suggesting complementary add-on items to customer purchases. Responsibilities include staying up-to-date on gear knowledge through workshops and vendor training, and delivering next-level service and problem-solving to ensure a best-in-class customer experience across multiple contact channels. The role involves recommending products to enhance customers' outdoor experiences.
