Requirements

  • Experience negotiating complex contracts with strategic partners
  • Experience leading a partnerships team and building functions from the ground up
  • Proven B2B business development experience, ideally in banking, fintech, or tech environments
  • Ability to design and execute scalable partnership strategies, particularly affiliates/distribution & product partnerships
  • Commercial acumen and experience in building frameworks, performance metrics, and business cases
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • A hands-on, practical approach with the ability to work from first principles

Responsibilities

  • Develop a partnership strategy that supports our ambition to acquire businesses across segments and unlocks mutual value
  • Create a prioritisation framework for evaluating partnership opportunities, ensuring they align with our mission
  • Drive the strategy and execute our focus on switcher acquisition, moving from high-volume/low-revenue channels to targeted, high-impact partnerships
  • Optimise and expand existing partnerships, including pilots like accountant affiliates and distribution partners
  • Identify and negotiate new partnerships, building strong, scalable collaborations
  • Deliver commercial analysis, business cases, and performance tracking to prioritise opportunities
  • Build and lead a team, mentoring junior colleagues to develop their partnerships skillset
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Risk, Data Science, and Compliance to drive execution
  • Stay on top of industry trends and competitor activity to uncover new market opportunities
  • Work with our existing portfolio of partners and take ownership of building out a business banking partnerships team
