Position Overview

As a Group Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the product backlog, writing user stories, and assisting with metrics to ensure successful delivery of our products. You will collaborate closely with customers, cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to understand their needs and translate them into actionable items for the development team. Your strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and agile mindset will be vital in driving product success.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers, end-users, and internal stakeholders to gather detailed and comprehensive product requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of user needs and pain points.
  • Identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience.
  • Translate high-level product goals into clear and actionable epics and user stories, complete with acceptance criteria that guide the development process.
  • Prioritize user stories based on factors such as business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility, ensuring the team focuses on the most valuable features first.
  • Continuously refine and update user stories based on ongoing feedback and evolving project priorities, maintaining a well-organized and prioritized product backlog.
  • Develop release plans that minimize disruptions for end-users and maximize the value of each release, considering factors such as timing, feature dependencies, and user impact.
  • Coordinate the release process, including defining release scope and ensuring all necessary documentation.
  • Work closely with development and quality assurance teams to resolve any issues or bugs that may arise during testing or post-release, ensuring a smooth and successful launch.
  • Foster a collaborative and transparent environment, encouraging open communication and shared ownership of product goals.
  • Facilitate effective communication between sales, customer success, development, marketing, and other teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and objectives.

Requirements

  • 10 years of software (SaaS) product management experience.
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior product managers.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, with experience in Scrum or Kanban.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and iterating on products.
  • Experience working with remote teams and contract development teams.
  • Experience working with Product Management tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.
  • Background in Construction, Manufacturing or relevant industry.
  • Strong customer obsession to understand and solve the need and get the right user functionality and experience.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, and meet difficult deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in problem-solving and creative thinking.
