Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active bar membership. They should have over 10 years of experience in legal practice, particularly in technology, compliance, and regulatory law. A proven track record of managing complex legal matters and providing strategic counsel to senior management is essential. Experience in high-growth technology or compliance-driven industries is preferred, along with the ability to oversee compliance across various domains, including data protection and intellectual property. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
The General Counsel will oversee and manage all aspects of contract negotiations, including service agreements and vendor contracts. They will provide strategic legal guidance and leadership to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The GC will identify potential legal risks and provide solutions to mitigate them while collaborating with business development, product, and engineering teams on new initiatives. Additionally, they will design and implement compliance programs and policies to adhere to legal requirements and industry best practices, ensuring that the legal team provides timely guidance across departments.
