Requirements

Candidates must possess a JD or foreign equivalent and be a member of at least one state bar. A minimum of 7 years of legal experience is required, including in-house experience with a SaaS or technology company. Strong expertise in commercial and technology agreements is essential, along with curiosity and experience with AI technologies in legal practice. The ideal candidate will be flexible, resourceful, solution-oriented, able to execute and prioritize effectively, possess high integrity and excellent judgment, and be skilled at building relationships across teams.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Corporate Counsel will review, negotiate, and close commercial agreements such as software subscriptions, data processing, and data security agreements, as well as NDAs. They will develop and implement contracting strategies to meet business objectives and reduce time to value. Responsibilities include building and maintaining contracting playbooks, templates, and clause libraries, and driving projects to enhance commercial legal support efficiency using AI. The role involves advising business partners on commercial legal issues and risks, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and creating training materials for internal teams. Collaboration with sales, revenue operations, product, finance, and procurement teams is also a key aspect of this position.
